Systems Engineer

About the Role

NeuralTrix AI was seeking a Systems Engineer to design, deploy and maintain the servers, networks and internal IT systems that support our engineering teams and client deployments, including on-premise AI installations.

Key Responsibilities

Systems Administration

Install, configure and maintain Linux and Windows servers, workstations and GPU compute environments.

Network & Security

Manage networks, firewalls, VPNs and access controls, ensuring systems remain secure and compliant with internal policies.

On-Premise Deployments

Support the installation and configuration of AI solutions within client data centres and private cloud environments.

Backup & Recovery

Implement backup, disaster recovery and patch management processes to ensure business continuity.

Technical Support & Documentation

Provide L2 / L3 support to internal teams and maintain clear documentation of systems and procedures.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics or a related field.

Experience: 1-3 years of experience in systems administration, IT infrastructure or a similar role.

Skills & Competencies

Linux (Ubuntu / RHEL) and Windows Server administration

Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs and VPNs

Virtualisation platforms such as VMware, Proxmox or Hyper-V

Scripting in Bash or PowerShell for automation

Certifications such as RHCSA, CCNA or MCSA are an advantage
